Our doctors and support staff of the Veterinary Internal Medicine Practice of Northern Virginia are committed to providing the best medical care for your pets.  Our board certified internal medicine specialists have an extensive background in evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of internal medicine conditions in dogs and cats. Organ systems that we specialize in are the upper and lower gastrointestinal tract, endocrine system, liver and respiratory system and kidneys and urinary tract.

Our referral based practice provides 24 hour care Mondays – Fridays and our doctors and licensed veterinary technicians participate with on-call duty over the weekends and holidays.   We utilize state of the art equipment to diagnose and monitor your pets.  Our doctors are able to observe their patients from their homes utilizing our digital technology.

If you would like to have your pet referred to our practice, please have your regular veterinarian contact our doctors and discuss your four-legged family member.

Once you have been referred to our practice, please do the following:

  • Arrive 15 minutes before your appointment to fill out client/patient information forms.

  • Bring copies of your medical records we can keep for our medical records.

  • Bring radiographs your regular veterinarian has taken for our review. These radiographs will be returned with you at the completion of your appointment.

  • Allow 2 – 3 hours for your appointment.  You will be asked to stay on-site so you can participate with the appointment.

  •  Do not feed your pet 12 hours before the appointment, but you can offer water up until the time of the appointment.  By fasting your pet, this will allow us to do necessary diagnostic testing, ie. blood work, ultrasound.

  •  If your pet is a diabetic, please do not withhold food or water prior to the appointment.

  •  Refer to our location section on the web page for directions or contact our office coordinators at 703-330-8809.

  • Average initial appointment cost is $550.00 - $650.00. This includes our doctor's physical exam, a one cavity ultrasound, our Licensed Veterinary Technician services and generation of referral letters/communication for your referring veterinarian.

  • Payment options include: cash, personal checks, Visa and Master Card. We do not offer payment plans unless our doctors or business manager has approved beforehand.

  • If you need to cancel a future appointment, please provide a minimum of 24 hours notice or there will be a $50.00 cancellation fee.

We look forward to meeting you and your furry companion.
